Overview:

This project focuses on the relationship between light and architecture. The use of natural lighting enhances the balance between the natural state and unnatural state, or interior and exterior. It creates an opening in space and form visually. Understanding the lighting design can establish an experience like no other, different emotions and perceptions.

The potential location is on public space, a bit further away from the rest of campus buildings. First, the intention of this project is to create a relationship between the natural environment and building context, allowing students to venture out from conjugated classrooms and more towards the natural quiet environment (across the Teaching Gardens and Sustainable Garden). The building will portray reflection of the past and a light towards the future on their way back to lecture halls.
